Hi, there.
Question:
What can I do if I cannot log in to the MDU through the serial port?
Answer:
1. Check whether the login user name and password are correct. In MDU versions earlier than V800R017C00, the user name is root and the password is mduadmin. In V800R017C00 and later versions, the user name is root and the password is admin123.
2. Ensure that the baud rate of the HyperTerminal is the same as the baud rate of the serial port on the MDU. The default baud rate of the MDU serial port is 9600 bit/s.
If garbled characters are displayed on the HyperTerminal interface after login, the baud rate of the terminal is inconsistent with that of the MA5821 system.
You can log in to the system with another baud rate. The system supports the following baud rates: 9600 bit/s, 19200 bit/s, 38400 bit/s, 57600 bit/s, and 115200 bit/s.
