[Question]
What can I do if I cannot find the UltraPath for vCenter tab after upgrading the vCenter server?
[Answer]
Two possible causes are as follows:
Unsuccessful plug-in loading: The plug-in is not loaded, is being loaded, or fails to be loaded.
The current user does not have all administrator permissions for UltraPath for vCenter.
You can solve the problem as follows:
On the upper-left corner of the vCenter client, click Plug-ins and select Manager Plug-ins…. On the Plug-in Manager interface, check the status of UltraPath for vCenter. Find UltraPath under Plug-in Name, and check if UltraPath status is Enabled. If the status is Enabled, go to step 2. If UltraPath is not found or its status is not Enabled, re-log in to vCenter or reinstall UltraPath for vCenter.

Check whether the current user has all administrator permissions for UltraPath for vCenter. Log in to the client as a vCenter administrator. Click Roles under Administration on the first page of the vCenter client.

On the left of the interface, select the user group of the user who could not find the plug-in. If the user belongs to the Administrator group, deregister and then register the plug-in to reset the plug-in configuration file. If the user belongs to another user group, select this user group and right-click it. From the short-cut menu that is displayed, choose Edit Role…. Check whether all options have been selected. If UltraPath for vCenter cannot be found after all options are selected, deregister and then register the plug-in to reset the plug-in configuration file.
