Do you experts explain to me what does the BootROM represent on an NE router?

The Boot Read-Only Memory (BootROM) is a set of programs fixed in the read-only memory (ROM) chip on a device main board. The BootROM contains the basic input/output program, system settings, power on self-test (POST) program, and system self-startup program.
During device upgrade and fault recovery, you can enter the BIOS system in BootROM mode, restart the device or upgrade the device.
