Dear friend!

If the GSCC board is new, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the spare part. Select the spare board that has the same parameters as the board to be replaced.

  2. Query the current alarms of the NE.

  3. Upload the configuration data of GSCC board.

  4. Check whether the data on the NMS is the same as the data on the NE. If the data on the NMS is the same as the data on the NE, proceed to the next step.

  5. Query the user data on the NE.

  6. Query the current user of the NE.

  7. Record the IP address of the NE, the IP address of the gateway NE, and subnet mask through the NMS.

  8. Record NE ID, and extended ID.

  9. Record LSR ID.

  10. Back up NE databases.

  11. The three scenarios wherein the board is replaced are as follows:

  12. Check whether the current active and standby boards work normally.

If the GSCC is used by other NEs, please clear the data of the GSCC by setting the DIP switch before the replacement. Details: https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1000177952&id=tc_osn_hd_0634&lang=en
