What Are the Specifications of Port Mirroring?
The S7700&S9700 support inter-board mirroring. That is, the observing port and mirrored port can be on different boards of a switch.
In the versions earlier than V200R005, a switch supports a maximum of 8 observing ports. In V200R005 and later versions, a switch supports 8 observing ports or observing port groups (the total number of observing ports and observing port groups cannot exceed 8). Each observing port group supports a maximum of 64 member ports.
The S7700&S9700 can copy packets from multiple ports to an observing port. The rate of mirrored packets cannot exceed the bandwidth of the observing port.
Outgoing packets from the same board can only be copied to the same observing port. Incoming packets on the same board can be copied to two observing ports.
