Hello,
Dynamic Fabric Service (DFS) is used for device pairing. In an all-active gateway scenario, the DFS function is invoked. Specifically, the DFS function is implemented by configuring a DFS Group on all-active gateway devices, enabling heartbeat packet exchange between these devices. A nickname or an IP address needs to be bound to the DFS Group. The bound nickname or IP address is used to communicate with remote devices.
When a neighbor relationship is established between all-active devices using the DFS protocol, the devices can synchronize ARP entries for traffic forwarding.
The all-active devices periodically send heartbeat packets to detect faults. If heartbeat packets time out, the DFS neighbor relationship becomes invalid.
