Hello, friend!
The ETH port is an internal network port for cascading the master and slave subracks. The NMETH port is an external network port for connecting to the NMS or communicating with other NEs through the extended ECC.
The ETH and NMETH ports of the OptiX OSN 6800 are on the AUX board, but the EFI board has an ETH3 port.
The 51EFI1 board of the OptiX OSN 8800 T64 and OptiX OSN 8800 T32 has one NMETH2 port. Other ETH-ports and NMETH1 ports are on the 51EFI2 board. Different from the OptiX OSN 6800, the EFI1 and EFI2 boards provide only one signal access interface. The AUX board processes signals.
The ETH and NMETH ports of the OptiX OSN 8800 T16 are on the 16EFI board.
The ETH and NMETH ports of the OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack are on the 15AUX board.
The ETH and NMETH ports of the OptiX OSN 8800 universal platform subrack are located on the 18EFI board.
Thanks!
