HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello!

What are the differences between LPT when works in protocol mode and when works in transparent Transmission mode in DC-908 equipments?

References:

  • In V100R019C10SPC500 and earlier versions, the LPT works in the protocol mode by default. In both LPT modes, the LPT function can be enabled or disabled.

  • In V100R019C10SPC510 and later versions, the LPT works in transparent transmission mode by default, and the LPT function is disabled. To enable the LPT function, you need to change the LPT mode to the protocol mode first. Similarly, if you want to change the LPT mode to transparent transmission when LPT is enabled, you need to disable LPT first.

Dear friend!
In protocol mode, a port on a node needs to detect the LPT packet information in the signal, and then determines whether to transparently transmit the packet or modify the packet content before forwarding the packet.
In transparent transmission mode, the port on a node does not detect the LPT packet information in the signal and directly forwards the packet to the next node.

In simple terms, the protocol mode is the traditional LPT mode. In the transparent transmission mode, some alarms are transparently transmitted to the downstream station without processing.

Thank you!

Thanks!, I have one question more, you mentioned that "some alarms" will be transmitted transparent, ¿which are these alarms and which will be not transmitted transparent?

LOCAL_FAULT alarm and REMOTE_FAULT alarm. Others will not be transparently transmitted.
