I'd like to share knowledge about Order-Wire Function
What are the Order-wire concepts?
The Order – Wire is the Voice Communication facility provided among nodes in SDH Networks
What about the Function of E1 and E2 Bytes?
The E1 byte is used as a Voice Channel among the regenerators and Multiplexers
The E2 byte is used as Voice Channel between Multiplexers
Classification of Order-Wire
1- Addressing Call: the addressing call is consisting of a sub-network number Plus a Subscriber number.
A) The Sub-network number depends on Network Topology whether rings or chains
B) The Subscriber number is consisting of Node ID Plus Phone Number
2- Conference Call: The Conference Call gives a point to multi-point voice Communication channel from a node into other nodes. When we dial the conference call number, the 1st phone of all nodes will ring, and below is an example where the Conference Call is set 9s for all
3- Order-Wire Telephone and it is divided to
a) Hotline Telephone: When you pick up the hotline telephone, the pre-specified number in the hotline will be automatically dialed.
b) Special Line Telephone: a Communication Channel is established between two phones automatically and two phones are picked up at the same time without dialing or ringing back tone.
