Dear Lucas,
A technology that enables cameras to capture proper images in strong backlight scenarios.
In strong backlight scenarios, images captured for the bright areas are overexposed and look pale, and images of the dark areas are underexposed and look dark.
Using WDR technology, a camera exposes objects in bright areas at the optimal shutter speed and then exposes objects in dark areas at the optimal shutter speed. Then the camera implements DSP to synthesize the two images to form an image with the normal foreground and background. WDR expands the dynamic range of the camera and enables the camera to capture proper images in both bright and dark areas.

Thank you.
