Hello, everyone!

What wavelengths are supported by the optical module on the LQM board of OSN 9800?

Who can help me?

Hi
The DWDM side of LQM sends and receives any wavelength in the C band (1529.17nm to 1560.61nm )= 192.1Thz to 196.0 Thz

- the board has 2 in/out ports , you can use one in1&out1 to send and receive one channel in the level OTU1 .
and you can use in2/out2 also as a protection for the same service in port 1 .
The board dual fed (transmits in 2 directions) the same signal and same wavelength into 2 Mux boards and select the best signal of received signals from 2 demux boards from 2 directions .

Helo,

Table 1 Types and functions of the LQM interfaces

Interface

Type

Function

IN1-IN2

LC

Receive single-wavelength signals from the associated optical demultiplexer board or optical add/drop multiplexer board.

OUT1-OUT2

LC

Transmit single-wavelength signals to the associated optical multiplexer board or optical add/drop multiplexer board.

TX1-TX4

LC

Transmit service signals to client equipment.

RX1-RX4

LC

Receive service signals from client equipment.

Which side are you taling about? Client Side or  Line/DWDM side ?

If you talk about Client Side:

As we know, the LQM converts between signals at the rate between 100 Mbit/s-2.5 Gbit/s and ITU-T Recommendation-compliant WDM signals. Wavelengh of client side depends on what kinds of service we would like to connect.  For example, for STM1/4/16 services wavelengh could be 1310nm or 1550 nm based on distance.

Another example:

TN13LQM:  Optical module eSFP-2.5G-1310nm-SMF-15km could use for following services

OTU1, STM-16, OC-48, FC200, FC100, FICON, FICON Express, FDDI, GE, FE, STM-4, OC-12, ESCON, STM-1, OC-3, DVB-ASI

TN13LQM : Optical Module: eSFP-2.5G-1550nm-SMF-80km  could use for following services

OTU1, STM-16, OC-48, FC200, FC100, FICON, FICON Express, FDDI, GE, STM-4, OC-12, ESCON, STM-1, OC-3, DVB-ASI

TN13LQM: eSFP-2.5G-(1471nm to 1611nm)(CWDM)-SMF-80km could use for following services

OTU1, STM-16, FC200, FC100, GE, STM-4, ESCON, STM-1, DVB-ASI, FE

FE: Ethernet service at a rate of 125 Mbit/s or 12.5 Mbit/s

GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 1.25 Gbit/s

OTU1: OTN service at a rate of 2.67 Gbit/s

STM-1/OC-3: SDH/SONET service at a rate of 155.52 Mbit/s

STM-4/OC-12: SDH/SONET service at a rate of 622.08 Mbit/s

STM-16/OC-48: SDH/SONET service at a rate of 2.5 Gbit/s

FC100: SAN service at a rate of 1.06 Gbit/s

FC200: SAN service at a rate of 2.12 Gbit/s

FICON: SAN service at a rate of 1.06 Gbit/s

FICON Express: SAN service at a rate of 2.12 Gbit/s

DVB-ASI: Video service at a rate of 270 Mbit/s

ESCON: SAN service at a rate of 200 Mbit/s

FDDI: SAN service at a rate of 125 Mbit/s

If you talk about Line/DWDM Side:

Planned Wavelength No./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz) :

DWDM:

  • Supports ITU-T G.694.1-compliant DWDM specifications.

        1/1529.16/196.050 to 80/1560.61/192.100

CWDM:

  • Supports ITU-T G.694.2-compliant CWDM specifications.

    11/1471.00/208.170 to 18/1611.00/188.780
