MC-LAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation Group) implements link aggregation among multiple devices. In a dual-active system.

M-LAG increases link bandwidth, improves link reliability, and implements load balancing.

VRRP Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol is a fault-tolerant protocol that groups several routers into a virtual router. If the next hop of a host fails, VRRP switches traffic to another router, which ensures communication continuity and reliability.

I would like to share a brilliant use case for both of them.

Hi friend!
M-LAG is to solve the network loop, The Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) groups multiple routing devices into a virtual routing device and uses the IP address of the virtual routing device as the default gateway address for the communication with external networks. If the gateway fails, VRRP enables a new gateway to transmit data traffic, ensuring reliable network communications.
Hope to help you!
