Hi there, everyone!

This post is about an issue that the VPN is up, but no traffic traversing link between a B525s-23a and SonicWall. Please see more details as you read further down.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I have a Huawei B525s-23a connected to the WAN port of a SonicWall TZ400. I have created an IPsec VPN (Site-to-site) tunnel to another SonicWall. The VPN comes up however I cannot send traffic over the tunnel.

I have narrowed it down to the B525s-23a. I got a second device with a different firmware revision (11.232.05.00.25) and the same tunnel comes up and the traffic will traverse.

The device with the firmware revision 11.187.61.00.25 doesn't work, however as mentioned above the VPN comes up.

Can anybody explain what is in the software revisions that is causing this? Can I get the working firmware from the other device and flash the non-working unit?

Any help towards helping me solve the issue THAT the VPN is up, but no traffic traversing link between a B525s-23a and SonicWall that a would be appreciated.

There are B525 firmwares available here: ftp://serv.valdikss.org.ru/Downloads/Huawei_Firmware/B525s/ but I have NOT tried any of them and if you do so, then its entirely at your own risk. If you do try them and it resolves your problem, then do please post back here so that other people can know what does/doesn't work.
