VLANs on OLT with VLANs on Router Mikrotik

Created: Dec 16, 2020 06:30:18Latest reply: Dec 25, 2020 23:43:24 1456 22 0 0 0
HiCoins as reward: 5 (problem unresolved)

Dears,

As you can see in attachments the topology of my simple network, I create VLANs at router MikroTik (VLAN 100,101,102,103,104,105) and added to the interface that connected to OLT (5608T) and create VLANs (100-105 smart) on OLT and now I want to add these VLANs on ONU of customers and the ONU works as bridge mode what's the best config added to OLT to make that idea works properly and after ONU there is a switch and PCs' that connected PPPoE with Router MikroTik.

Thank you!

hello,

you can change the Application Scenario to below:

  1. ONT(bridge)+HGW +PCs

  2. ONT(bridge)+PC

  3. ONT(gateway)+PCs

thanks.

2.what config have you done on OLT?
3. ONT model and the WAN setting on ONT?
thanks

Hello, friend!

If the PC and switch connected to each ONT share the same VLAN, this solution is not feasible.
If the network runs normally, you need to configure a VLAN on each PC and map the VLAN to the service VLAN issued by the OLT to the ONT.

One more question:
The bandwidth of the OLT PON port is limited. The ONT-switch-PC networking leads to insufficient network bandwidth.

As Len_non said.

The OLT can be connected to the following network scenarios:

1. ONT(bridge)+HGW +PCs

2. ONT(bridge)+PC

3. ONT(gateway)+PCs

The forum deals with live network problems more, which is of no practical significance to solution design and suggestions.

Thanks!

Hi,

By analyzing the network topology:

It is recommended that no switch be connected to the ONT.

Only one terminal can be used for PPPoE dialup in bridged mode. As a result, PCs connected to the switch cannot go online at the same time.

If the ONT is set to the routing mode, the PCs connected to the ONT share the same bandwidth, which also causes network instability.

Thanks!
