VLAN Data Utilization

you can create a performance task to monitor.

1. Enable vlan statistics on vlan view.

<HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] vlan 100
[HUAWEI-vlan100] statistic enable

2. Then you can use the HQoS MIB to retrieve the traffic information.
The table hwXQosVlanStatTable will provide enough capabilities to collect packets or bytes passing through that vlan.
for example: hwXQosVlanStatInTotalBytes 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.4.4.1.1.3
hwXQosVlanStatOutTotalBytes 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.4.4.1.1.5

3. Then you can set those OIDs as performance indicators in eSight, please follow the guide from the link:

You also have the possibility to create a performance indicator task to monitor VLAN traffic.

Then search for vlan statistics items.

Rate of matched bits qosvlan QoSVlanStatistics matchBits
Rate of matched packets qosvlan QoSVlanStatistics matchPackets

What if we have devices of Cisco and Juniper in the network .... Can we enable the vlan statistics in other vendors and can they be map on esight as well.

This post was last edited by StarOfWest at 2018-05-29 02:47. If you know which OIDs Cisco and Juniper are using for VLAN monitoring you can try to configure custom OIDs performance indicator according with the guide. The OIDs I provide previously are Huawei private OIDs.
