Virtual server does not work on Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2

Hallo


I have the Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2 and it works fine for traffic out. I want to connect it to a VPN from outside.


I configure the virtual server with an internal destination IP and port number, but it does not work from the outside in.


I can connect via the LAN, so the VPN works, but if I connect to the router from outside it does not work. I have tried several DDNS services, and directly to the WAN IP, but it seems to stop somewhere in the router.


Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Since you are visiting your VPN server from the Internet, you should configure the port forwarding firstly to map your VPN server to the public IP address, then the traffic from the Internet could be able to forward to the VPN server on the CPE router.
Please set the port forwarding under the navigation Advanced > Security > Virtual Server.
The LAN protocol should be the VPN protocol, and the WAN port is the destination port that you are going to visit on the Internet.
