Hi All, may I know if huawei already have a road map where the AP can managed multiple APs like other wireless brands without the need of wireless controllers or cloud?
Huawei ACs manage APs in real time. APs actively send Keepalive heartbeat messages to ACs. First packets are processed first. Management packets are forwarded over a CAPWAP tunnel.
I understand that huawei have Fat, Fit and cloud but in Fat, you need to configure each AP separately right? but they have different management web gui.
Does huawei have a plan where a single Fat AP can manage other Fat APs using a single Web GUI just like a virtual controller in other brands?
Huawie has concept of "Leader AP" where an AP can take a role of controller and another 5-7 APs can connect to it to get policies and relevant information.
what he means is a Virtual controller the same as Aruba offers. is there any option like that in Huawei? usually with Aruba virtual controller, we can manage up to 128 AP's.
