Video Conference System Procedure in initiating calls

Hi, this article shows you the procedure of video conference system in initiating call.

The video conference mainly consists of a Huawei's HD Videoconferencing endpoint, such as a TE30, TE60, and VPM220W.

The video conference system can easily be operated using the remote control. The user may perform operations such as initiating and controlling a conference, voice call, modifying system configuration and controlling captions and controlling the cameras, microphones and speakers.

Procedures in initiating a conference call

1. On the remote control, press the call button (green color) to access the conferencing screen.

2. You may specify a site by entering its site number, IP address or URI. Take note that there is a difference if you’re initiating a conference within your vicinity or outside. The IP address differs as a private of the public so make sure on the network you aim to connect with.
   

3. You may press the call button once again to initiate a call.
   

Procedures in joining a conference

Using the conference schedule:

1. Press the left or right arrow button to access the Conference Schedules screen.
   

2. Select your desired ongoing conference.
   

3. Press OK.
   

Using the conference access number

1. Press the call button to access the conferencing screen.
   

2. Enter the conference access number.
   

3. Press the call button again to join the conference.
   

*Note: that some conference calls require password before joining in, you may just input the indicated password and press OK.

The implementation of a call consists by identifying the globally unique public IP address of the location you aim to reach with and is accessible via the internet.

Procedure on checking the connection of the IP address on the network by PING

1. Press the main menu (); then navigate the arrow keys on the remote control and choose Advanced then Diagnostics; lastly, Network Test.
   

2. Enter the IP address you wish to check into or the IP address you will connect to for a conference call.
   

3. Start a Ping test.
   

4. If the Ping test fails, this means that a network error has occurred and certain procedural modifications may be needed.
