Version Upgrade operations – CLI
Configure the system software file name used for the next.
startup

Upgrade patch files.

Before operating system files and patch files, you need to upload the file to the storage media of the device using FTP or other modes.
When upgrading system files using command line, you need to run the reboot command to restart the device for the upgrade to take effect. The extensión name of the system software must be .bin and the file name does not contain Chinese characters.
The patch load command is used to load patches. During patch loading, the system automatically checks whether the patch versión is consistent with the host version. If not, the patch fails to be loaded, but the patch file name still exists (as long as the original patch is running).
The patch active command is used to actívate patches. When running this command, a message indicating that the activation fails will be displayed if no patches exist. If the patch is activated but does not take effect, you need to perform other operations. An activated patch will restore to the deactivated state upon system restart.
The patch run command is used to run patches. Ensure that the patch to be executed must be activated before running this command. If the patch does not existo or is in deactivated state, a message will be displayed, indicating that th operation fails. If the device patches are not deleted, only the running patches will be automatically restored upon system restart.
Besides the preceding commands, there are commands patch deactive and patch delete. The patch deactive command is used to deactivate patches. The patch delete command is used to delete patches. After this command is executed, a patch is deleted regardless of its status.
Operations to the patch files using these two commands immediately take effect without restarting the device.
Version Upgrade operations – Web

Operating system files on the web UI is simple. Choose System > System Update and complete the upgrade or one-click upgrade of system files and patch files.
Online upgrade can be implemented through the intranet server or security service center. Upgrade through the intranet server: An upgrade server is deployed on the intranet to periodically download database files from the security service center and sabe them to the root directory of the HTTP server. Common PCs upgrade by accessing the upgrade server. In this case, the Live Update Server (LUS) needs to be configure don the upgrade server. For details about LUS configuration, see the LUS Help.
Upgrade through the security service center: The device is connected to the security service center to download the antivirus database and IPS signature database.
