The RRU are powered by -48 VDC and a 2X10 AWG power cable is installed for each radio. The cable in your the interior has two independent cables, one blue (it can be another color) and the second black.
1. Using a cross screwdriver loosen the screws and open the RRU maintenance window where perform the installation and connection of power cables.
2. The measurement of the cable will be taken once the cable is in its correct position and path.
3. The cable is cut.
4. The black outer protection plastic of the cable is cut approximately 10 cm. Without damaging the plastic to protect the internal cables.
5. The EPC4 connector is installed in the RRU, it is disconnected and, on the side, it has a drawing which shows the measurements of the cable that will be inserted inside.
6. Once the cable is cut to the length indicated by the connector, insert the blue cable into the connector reference in blue and the black cable in the red reference of the connector.
Inside the door on one side of the connector is the following indication:
INPUT -48
NEG (-) connect blue or red wire
RTN (+) connects the black wire
VDC power cable connection at RRU
