Hi,

I am using vcn540 around 80 units for my project. We running on cluster mode for every location. Now we using PC as NTP but the PC not connected to internet so in a long run having the time difference. We were told not to reset time the manually for more than 60 seconds and will cause the entire ivs to restart and recording will lost for the particular reboot period.

User don't except the time loss and at the same time they don't have the NTP server. So we suggest to change the time around 45sec so won't cause the reboot. But now although resetting below 60sec, it cause the system to reboot and recording lost for particular period. I am confuse now and don't know how to answer the customer. Do we have any better solution? Please help me on this.

Are you trying to use one of the VCN540s as the NTP server?

You can use VCN540 as an NTP server and then enable the Network-wide NTP function.
