This topic describes a solution to VCN540 motion detection alarm-triggered recording of camera failure.
Problem description
After a camera was added to the VCN540 and motion detection was enabled for the camera, the motion detection alarm-triggered recording configured on the platform did not take effect. When the motion detection alarm was triggered on the camera, the platform did not start to record.
Processing procedure
Log in to the C/S client(IVS Client).
Choose Devices > Local Domain and double-click the camera. The configuration panel is displayed.
Choose System Settings > Basic Info and set Alarm deployment to Enable.
Root cause
The alarm deployment function was not enabled for the camera that was required.
Solution
1. Log in to the C/S client.
2. Choose Devices > Local Domain and double-click the camera. The configuration panel is displayed.
3. Choose System Settings > Basic Info and set Alarm deployment to Enable.
