When you set the time to daily or weekly, you can select the time segment for recording.
Please see below:
Log in to the C/S client as the admin user and double-click Video.
Click the Server Recording tab. The tab page for setting a server recording plan is displayed.
Set a server recording plan.
In the Cameras panel on the left, select a camera whose video recording policy has been configured.
Right-click the calendar and choose Set Plan from the shortcut menu.

Drag the timeline to select a time segment for executing the server recording plan.
If you click All-day, you do not need to select a recording time segment.
Select Enable plan and click OK to save the settings and make the recording plan take effect.
Set server recording plans in batches.
Select a camera in the Cameras panel and set a recording plan for the camera.
Click
in the upper left corner and select a batch of cameras for which you want to configure a server recording plan.
Click
in the upper left corner to finish the settings.
