Hi, Hummer!

Please do as follows:

1. Run the following command to check the RAID group status: cli rginfolist

Run the following command to check the disk status: cli pdinfolist

2. If the RAID group is abnormal, the status is not Normal, and the disk is in an offline state. Run the following command to manually restore the offline disk: cli pdonline id=X (x indicates the disk ID. You can run the cli pdinfolist command to view the disk ID).

3. After all disks have been restored to the online state, run the cli rgresume id=X command to restore the RAID group. In the command, X indicates the RAID group ID.

Hello there!

https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/knowledge/EKB1100012778

Issue description

The VCN500 OMU portal cannot be accessed.

Handling process

1. Check the hardware status indicator. The indicator shows that the VCN500 enters the minisystem mode.

2. Use PuTTY or SecureCRT SSH2 to log in to the VCN500. The user name is admin and the password is Change_me. Run su - root and enter the password Change_Me to switch to user root.

Run cli vdinfolist to check the status of the hard disk and RAID. The command output shows that two disks are in the reserved state, the RAID group is unavailable and the hard disks in slots 0 and 2 are faulty.

Root cause

Two hard disks are faulty. As a result, the RAID group is unavailable and the system cannot be accessed.

Solution

Replace the two hard disks and reinstall the system.

The specific operations are as follows:

1. Log in to the VCN500. The user name is admin and the password is Change_me. Run su - root and enter the password Change_Me to switch to user root.

2. Run cd /share.

3. Run ./installminisystem.sh local IP address local gateway IP address.

Suggestions

Add a hot spare disk to prevent service interruption caused by disk faults.
