VCN time deviation

Good day!

The issue is from the NTP server.

1. There is no specialized NTP clock source server configured on VCN, like all other IT devices, cannot provide accurate time equal to specialized NTP server.

2. Our VCN time zone clock signal comes from built-in crystal oscillator. Affected by temperature change, voltage, and aging, the resonance frequency of crystal oscillator can be inconsistent with the standard frequency, which led to time deviation.

Solution

We highly recommend you to configure a specialized NTP clock source server with high precision and stability in order to guarantee time accuracy.

In conclusion, VCN3020 also requires to configure a specialized NTP server as NTP clock source because VCNs, switches, IT servers or storage devices are not standard NTP server, which cannot guarantee high accurancy.
