ISSUE DESCRIPTION


I have one VCN510-16 VCN deployed at the customer site and unfortunately I forgot the IVS password and 'Account is locked' is displayed on the LED after multiple unsucessful attempts.


Please advise how I can carry out the VCN 510-16 IVS password reset.

Did you try with su postgres -c "/home/postgres/bin/psql -p 6000 -d smu -c \"update tbl_smu_user_info set login_password='e687fed485a4b510722695f7d38d6b524532af5196bd70363019a52bfc0f8af3',first_login='0', salt=' 'where login_name='Admin';\"" this command is inserted when you are connected  to the VCN using SSH. Please note that this command is used only for VCN V100R002 versions.
it should show UPDATE=1 after inserting this command.

Please ensure that
1.Log in to the server as the admin user and run the su - root command to switch to the root user.

There is a CASE may help you:

Database Connection Error Upon Login to the OMU Portal

Symptom

After a user enters the correct user name and password to log in to the OMU portal of the server, the system displays a message indicating a database connection error.

Possible Cause

The system disk is full, causing a failure to start the database process.

Solution

  1. Log in to the server as the admin user and run the su - root command to switch to the root user.
  2. Run the su - postgres -c "/home/postgres/bin/pg_ctl status -D /DB_DATA/data/" command to check whether the database process is normal.

    If the following information is displayed, the database process is normal:

    pg_ctl: server is running (PID: 16858) 
    /home/postgres/bin/postgres "-D" "/DB_DATA/data"
    
    • If yes, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
    • If no, go to the next step.

  3. Run the /home/ivstool/bin/service.sh restart pgdb command to restart the database.
  4. After the database is restarted, run the su - postgres -c "/home/postgres/bin/pg_ctl status -D /DB_DATA/data/" command to check whether the database process is normal.

    If yes, no further action is required. If no, go to the next step.

  5. Run the df -h command to check the system disk space usage.

    Ensure that the space usage of each directory (excluding /Snapshot) shown in the red box of Figure 1 does not exceed 80%.

    • If the space usage of each directory does not exceed 80%, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
    • If the space usage of a directory exceeds 80%, go to the next step.

  6. Run the rm Directory whose space usage exceeds 80%/File name command to delete unnecessary files till the space usage falls below 80%.

    Delete unnecessary files, such as captured packets, based on the actual condition.

  7. Run the reboot command to restart the server.
  8. After the server is restarted, check whether the fault is rectified.


If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.

Have you change the password? The default password is super123.
