Please note the mapping module of the board:

The mapping module performs encapsulation and mapping functions.

In the upstream direction, this module first encapsulates Ethernet signals in LAPS or GFP format. The concatenation is performed. Then, the Ethernet signals are converted into SDH signals.

In the downstream direction, SDH signals are remapped. The delay of virtual concatenation is compensated. After aligning, packets are decapsulated according to the encapsulation format. The decapsulated data is finally transmitted to the network processor module in packets.

A VC-Trunk is an internal interface of a board and is located inside the mapping module. It is used to transmit the Ethernet signals to the specified SDH interface. Therefore, the mapping module of the board implements the process of binding VC-Trunk and VC-4 ports.

Dear friend!
The binding between VCTRUNKs and VC-4s is implemented through concatenation technology. The control module of the Ethernet board issues a command to the mapping module. The mapping module labels the VC-4s to be bound. The VC-4s with the same label are considered cascaded channels. Transmits the encapsulated Ethernet service signals.
