【Problem description】
USM 3.0 failed to install the CM.
Warning: Deployment failure, requires CPU numbers ranging from 8 to 32.
【Problem analysis】
1. Confirm with the customer that the server is RH2288 V3 delivered by Huawei.
eSpace USM Hardware Requirements As shown in the following figure.
The following figure shows the hardware configuration of the server.
2. The number of physical CPUs of the server is 2 and the number of cores in each physical CPU is 10.
The number of CPU cores is 2*10 =20 ,8<20<32, which meets the hardware requirements:
3.The number of logical cores of the server is 40.
This exceeds the hardware requirements of eSpace USM:
【Solution description】
The server's own hardware specifications meet the software installation requirements, but because of enable Hyper-Threading technology, the number of logical CPU cores is twice the actual CPU cores, thus exceeding the software hardware requirements, the server hyper-threading needs to be disabled.
