Hello, Folks! I am trying to launch Remote Virtual Console via SSH tunnels using SOCKS proxy (SSH tunneling) and I managed to launch it, but all I can see is a gray window. I saw this situation on HP servers and the problem was that for the HP servers I needed to open several additional SSH tunnels between my workstation and remote server. The question is: does Remote Virtual Console client open any additional connections to iBMC? If it does, what port numbers is uses?
I can investigate it usin WireShark, but if you have a ready answer, that would be perfect!
hi , if you want to use the remote virtual console , you must keep the port "2198" , "2199","8208" , those port work with Java client , if you didn't enable it , the java can't communicate with IBMC , therefor you can't use the KVM console . and those information was described at iBMC communication matrix , you can refer to this link : http://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1000059786?idPath=7919749|9856522|21782478|21782482|8060757
F**k. I wonder, why it is not described anywhere. I have resolved this puzzle. Well, iBMC listens on the ports 22, 80, 443, 2198, 2199, 8208. So, if you need to use SSH tuneling, you will need to build tunnels for ports 443, 2198, 2199, 8208
