USG6330 Dashboard list is greyed out & Log issues

  Rewarded HiCoins: 0 (problem resolved)

I have recently started a new role, (am used to CISCO ASA and Checkpoint firewalls). And have been tasked with getting a pair of USG6330 into production but am having a few issues.

First issue is on the main dashboard of the web interface, everything on the left hand panel is grey'd out, I can't select anything. is there something locking this out? (Specifically I wanted to use the GUI to clear out old logs, I know this can be done via CLI but that's not the point)

Second is is the logging... it's wildly inconsistent with what it shows, sometimes I see pings from a local switch, othertimes they're omitted, sometimes they reference the correct zone, othertimes they show 'unknown'

Are there any tricks to ensure the logs are useful and repeatable? Is it possible to have them all exported then they can be analysed in LibreNMS or Greylog, Solarwinds KIWI etc?

Appreciate any assistance.

Cheers

Rich

Hi Rich,
For the first question, can you send a screenshot?
For the second problem, check whether the time zone settings on the firewall are correct.

regarding the time, I've set within ~ 1 second of our NTP server. Once basic connectivity is sorted I'll then get it syncing properly.
