Hi VBabak,
The firewall hot backup version must be the same as the device model.
Hardware Requirements
The two firewalls that form dual-system hot backup must have the same model, board type, number, and board installation position.
The hard disk configurations of the two firewalls can be different. For example, if a hard disk is installed on one firewall and no hard disk is installed on the other firewall, the running of hot standby is not affected. However, the log storage capacity of the firewall without a hard disk is much lower than that of the firewall with a hard disk installed, and some log and report functions are unavailable.
Software Requirements
The two firewalls that form dual-system hot backup must have the same system software version, system patch version, dynamically loaded component package, and signature database version.
During the system software version upgrade or rollback, the two firewalls can temporarily run the system software of different versions. For example, the software version of one device is V500R001C50, and the software version of the other device is V500R001C30SPC300.
For the USG9500, the hash board selection mode and hash factor of the two devices that form dual-device hot backup must be the same.
