Hi, if enable user bridging on gpon (OLT and ont), client A and B in the same VLAN, but connected to different ONT, will the traffic between them go through OLT only or also need go through core switch? PLease advise, thanks in advance.
in same OLT implements communication only through MAC addressing, but only in the same conflict domain. if packet thought IP head then will be go throught core switch

Thanks for your answer, but looks little bit complicated. Simply say , within same VLAN, if want to access client 2 device (IP 10.0.0.2) from client 1 (IP: 10.0.0.1), is it through OLT only, right?
Hi Thanks for your reply. Why the ping packet in the same vlan will go through core switch? I thought it only uses arp request and arp reply in the same Vlan. and mac address cache are on the OLT PON ports? Please advice, thanks.
