Use SystemReporter for PCIe Real-Time Monitoring Reports in OceanStor V5

Hi all,

This post describes how to use SystemReporter for PCIe Real-Time Monitoring Reports in OceanStor V5. By monitoring performance indicators of PCIe ports, SystemReporter obtains real-time performance statistics and presents them as a report. Then you can monitor the running status of PCIe ports in the most recent hour on SystemReporter.

Prerequisites

Before viewing monitoring data, ensure that Collection Switch has been enabled. If Collection Switch has not been enabled, choose System > System Configuration > Registration and Configuration and enable Collection Switch for the device whose monitoring data you want to view.

Procedure

1. Go to the monitoring page.

a. On the menu bar, click imgDownload?uuid=ef5af54eb87c4c1f80ceb97b0f4c3986.jpgMonitoring.

b. In the left navigation tree, choose Device model > Device name(XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) > Back-End Port > PCIe Port.

c. In the function pane on the right, click Real Time.


2. Optional: From the Indicator Template drop-down list, select an indicator template.  


3. Optional: Create an indicator template.   


  1. You can click Create after Indicator Template to create an indicator template.

    The Create Indicator Template dialog box is displayed.

  2. Set Name and Description of the indicator template.

  3. Click Add Indicator.

    The Add Indicator dialog box is displayed.

  4. Select indicators that you want to add to the indicator template and click OK.


4. Set display objects.

a. Click imgDownload?uuid=6661f501aa564412803ec4c20c599739.jpg after Display Rules.

b. The Customize Display Items dialog box is displayed.

c. Click imgDownload?uuid=efe4e306220a47fbb774489954b7f741.jpg. The latest object information is displayed.

d. In the available object area, select the objects that you want to display and click imgDownload?uuid=6ddc58c74c434275871fe92c5632d001.jpg.

e. Click OK.


5. In the function pane on the right, check the indicator view.
