Hi, if one PV plant has a EMI (Enviroment Monitoring Instrument) for Performance ratio calculation, can we use the same EMI data in another PV plant for performance ratio calculation? Consider that both PV plant have same Solar Module orientation and installed in the same city/locality? If yes, please share a supporting document to understand the process of using the EMI data of one plant in another.

Hello, Qadir
I don't agree with this way, the direction of components is the same, but other factors will also affect EMI. I will discuss with photovoltaic engineers.

We already use this feature on NetEcco at our sites. If sites are beside each other, it is very helpfull to reduce the cost. But if sites are far away from each other, calculated PR will be wrong.

Example: At Site 1, irradiation sensor EMI is installed and it is sunny, Site 2 is using data of same EMI but site is cloudy. In this case calculated performance ratio will be wrong.

You are right
There are a lot of cases where end user has multiple buildings in the same locality, so therefore it is very helpful.
