Hi everyone,


I have topology two access controller (Airengine 9700-M) and 150 ap (Airengine 5760-10). Now all of the access point is active on management of ac. But client connected to wlan, they can spread this wlan with hotspot.

How do I block this ? Could you help me please ?

Hi,
As far as I know, the network devices can't forbid clients from turning on hotspots.
You can limit the rate of all users so that users with hotspot enabled do not consume more resources.
For configuration, please refer to: https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100169994&id=EN-US_TASK_0176919724&lang=en
And if the PCs belong to your company, you can disable the hotspot-related services on all the PCs using the network management software.

WIDS can detect rogue AP, WIPS can don't let rogue AP to work normally.

eSight cannot manage PCs. You can use the Agile Controller to disable related hotspot processes.
You may contact TAC to see if they have a better solution.
