Upgrading AC6005 to latest FW and obtaining WLAN V200R005 EOSL

Hi, I work for Huawei reseller !

I need to upgrade AC AC6005 to latest FW in PoC to test that it will work new generation AP.

As stated in documentation I need to upgrate to WLAN V200R005 first, convert the configuration, then upgrade to latest FW that can work with new APs.

The problem is that V200R005 is EOSL and not available in dowloads aswell as convertion tool Enterprise network configuration translation

Where should I look or where I should write?

If the V200R005 version is in the EOS state and cannot be downloaded,You can try to download the latest version. The release notes contain requirements and descriptions about the source version.

I can and I did download the latest version, and in the attached upgrade guide it states that I must first upgrade V200R005, then convert the configuration using a tool, after upgrade to the laste

Hi, friend!

If the version is V200R003, you can directly upgrade it to V200R008.The V200R008 version can be downloaded from the official website.

This table is the same for firmware that I have downloaded, but in section 1.2 it states about precautions.

1.2 Precautions

AC

l   If a device is upgraded from V200R003 or V200R005 to V200R006 or a later version, the AP configuration will be lost. To prevent configuration loss, convert the configuration file of V200R003 or V200R005 to the configuration file of V200R006 using Enterprise network configuration translation before the upgrade. Upload the configuration file of V200R006 and specify it as the startup file after the upgrade or re-configure the device after the upgrade. For details on how to use Enterprise network configuration translation, see A.3 Enterprise network configuration translation tool.


So if I upgrade to V200R006 or a later version I will loose the configuration and will have to configure the device from scratch.

Do you think that I should be able to get the V200R005 from support?

I see this. Upgrade to v200r005 or v200r006 will result in configuration loss.I think you should get the version from support as it is no longer available on the official website.
