Upgrade the controller server OS

Hi there,

We are going to upgrade our controller server, and as you know, the server might restart during the OS upgrading. So, I would like to know if there are some preparing actions that I should take before upgrade the OS.

Hi @user_3534491,
1. Before installing the patch, manually back up the database used by the controller.
2. Before restarting the server, ensure that the startup account of the controller is Local System.
3. Before restarting the server, run the stop server command to stop the service. After the server is restarted, run the start server commandto start the service.
4. Kindly confirm that you have purchased a formal license for the SQL server. In the trial period, if the service has been used for more than six months, the SQL Server service cannot be started after the server is restarted. As a result, the controller service cannot be started.
5. If the controller installes in a VM, kindly take a snapshot for quick restoration.
