Upgrade delay reasons locally or remotely
In this post I would like to share with you 2 main reasons why we may get the error Upgrade delayed when trying to upgrade the inverters locally or remotely
Locally:
1.The DC the voltage is under the minimum value requested for Start Voltage(this information may be also find in the datasheet on each inverter model)
To sum up:
For residential, the minimum voltage is 120V
For commercial, the minimum voltage is 200V
Solution: try again when there is the minimum voltage threshold
2. The stings are not correctly connected; there is a string revers that need to be corrected
Solution: you need to check on site with the Multimeter the polarity of the strings so that the + and – are correctly connected on the inverter and there is no string reverse.
Note: if there is a string revers, wait until the solar irradiance declines at night and the PV string current reduces to below 0.5 A. Then, turn off the two DC switches and correct the PV string connection.
Remotely:
1.Internet connexion is not stable or is missing
Solution:you need to check the internet connection and make sure that is stable
2. The DC the voltage is under the minimum value for Start Voltage-this information may be also find in the datasheet on each inverter model.
For residential, the minimum voltage is 120V
For commercial, the minimum voltage is 200V
Solution: we need to try again when there is the minimum voltage threshold
Note: if you send the command of upgrade remotely during the night, the upgrade will be postpone and done the next day when there will be enough voltage on DC side and the minimum value requested for Start Voltage is met.
Thank you!
