HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)
Hi,
i would like to update the firmware of an ac6005 and 6 ap5130dn connected to it in fit mode.

I would like to know if the following procedure is correct. First I batch update the ap from ac and then I update the ac last?

I would like to avoid unplugging all the APs from the wall, so I would like to update them centrally from the AC. Surely when I have updated the ap the ac will not see them anymore. I would like to know if after updating the ac too, it will be able to see the ap's. Obviously everyone will have to have the same firmware

Hi user_4122923,
Upgrade the AC first and then upgrade APs in batches.

but if I have ac and ap in version V200R0006C00 and I update the ac to version V200R019C00, the ac does not lose the ap?

View the V200R019C00 upgrade guide. The AC can be directly upgraded to V200R019C00. However, the AP5130DN is a Fat AP and needs to be upgraded to V200R007C10 and then to V200R019C00. The AC and AP running V200R0006C00 do not support ISSU. Therefore, services are interrupted during the upgrade.

I hope it helps!

what is ISSU?

I have already read the guide but I did not understand if the ac must be updated first or if I must update the ap first.
I think if I update the ac first I should lose the connection with the ap. ok?

In-service software upgrade (ISSU) is a simple and fast upgrade method to reduce traffic interruption duration and improve service reliability.
The AP goes offline regardless of whether the AC or AP is upgraded first. After the upgrade is complete, the AP goes online again.
