UPEU: Universal Power and Environment intrface Unit.
It is a power module used for converting -48 V input power into +12 V DC power and then distributing the power to other boards in a BBU.
At least one UPEU board and a maximum of two UPEU boards can be configured in a BBU3900 or BBU3910. In addition, a UPEU board must be configured in slot 18 or 19 of the BBU.
The UPEU board provides four monitoring/alarm ports to transmit two channels of RS485 signals and eight channels of Boolean signals.
The UPEU boards are classified into the following types:

lUPEUc
lUPEUd
A UPEU board can be used in any radio system.
UEUI: Universal Environment Unit Interface.
The UEIU supports eight Boolean alarm signals and two RS485 environment monitoring signals. The UEIU is optional. It is configured when the environment interfaces are insufficient.
