Hello everyone!
Today, I will explain underground optical cable installation. As I mentioned in the previous articles, there are four different types of outdoor cable installations: aerial, underwater, underground in PVC pipes, and underground with direct burial.
Now, I will explain the underground way of installing optical cables with installation PVC pipes and optical cables.
This method of installation is one of the best ways of installation. The cables are secured from the damage, but this way of realizing the network takes a lot of time and money.
We can start to build a network after the construction project is completed, the construction permits are obtained and the works are reported to the competent services.
Construction sites need to be secured. If it is a road, be sure to the fence and mark the place of work. Traffic signs should clearly warn drivers that there is work to be done. Traffic signs must be seen both at night and during bad weather.

All workers on the construction site must have personal protection for work: hardhat, gloves, shoulder pads, etc.
It is forbidden to cut and destroy trees, grass, flowers, move bird nests, archeological sites, etc. Also, pollution of air, water, making of big noise, etc. If it is necessary for some of the above to be cut, damage, etc., we must contact the competent service. And only after the answer, we can continue with the work.
We need to carefully remove grass and flowers, as well as concrete slabs, etc. In general, after the finished our network, we have to return everything to its original condition.
When it comes to the underground way of realization, the target is to dig as little as possible. In some places, municipalities, cities, digging is prohibited. There are possibilities to rent pipes or dark fibers.
Before we start digging, we need to have information about existing underground installations. This information can be easily taken, there are databases. In addition, companies that have underground installations should be present during the digging. It is recommended to use radars to detect underground installations. Also, at the places where the lines intersect, manual digging is recommended. The most dangerous is damage to the gas pipeline or power cable.
I will continue to explain this type of cable installation in the next article >> Underground optical cable installation (2)
Thank you!
