Unable to start the AR3260 simulation on eNSP

You will have to delete it before you re-registere it.

Please also attach the screenshot so that we can find more details on this.

1、open VirtualBox

2、click File - Virtual Media Manager.

3、delete AR_Base.vdi, WLAN_AC_Base.vdi, WLAN_AP_Base.vdi

4、open eNSP, click File - Tools - register devices, check AR_Base, AP_Base, AC_Base, click Register button,then wait for successful information.

followed the procedure.

was able to successfully complete all the steps.

now there's another error code when trying to start the AR3200 simulation:

Start device AR3200 failed.

Error code: 40

Detail: Start failed

1、Open VirtualBox

2、click File - Preference - Network.

3、if there is no Host-Only Ethernet Adapter, click the "Add host only" button

4、modify or set the ip "192.168.56.1 255.255.255.0"

5、click DHCP Server, uncheck "Enable Server"

then restart eNSP and start AR3260.

followed instruction, error code is still the same as last time (error: 40);

Host-Only Ethernet Adapter was already existing;

ip address was also set to 192.168.56.1 255.255.255.0

only thing I had to do was unchecking DHCP server

Can you ping 192.168.56.1 successfully in your local pc cmd window ?

if the result is "request timeout" or "unreachable", the host-only network adapter's ip is not set correctly,

maybe you should uninstall virtualbox, then restart your pc, and reinstall virtualbox v4.2.8( the installation package is in eNSP installation directory, inside "tools" folder ).

Check whether there are some "AR_CloneXXX" in virtualbox before you launch eNSP, delete them if they exist.

After re-installing the VirtualBox problems are gone, i.e. I'm able to successfully launch the AR3260 simulation in eNSP now.

PS: just for sake of completeness pinging 192.168.56.1 was successful prior to de-installation of VirtualBox; so, the network adapter was set correctly; so, the true root cause of the issue that was reported probably would be remaining unknown

Same problem happened to me, I used the same solution and also not figured out the cause of the problem.

When I upgraded my eNSP to V100R002C00B350 version, the program began to show the Error code: 41 message when starting WLAN ACs and the registration was not possible.

I deleted the AR_Base.vdi, WLAN_AC_Base.vdi, WLAN_AP_Base.vdi on VirtualBox the registration was sucessful and the message changed to Error code: 40.

After re-installing the VirtualBox problems are gone.
