Today, I'd like to share a case.
Problem Description
we tried to install U2000 Client from U2000 server using link https://<U2000-IP>/cau , but we were not able to open the link, although ping was Ok from U2000 client system to u2000 server.
U2000 server version was V200R015C60SPC201.
Problem Analysis
In this network, all the reachability is controlled by firewall and we already have port 31037, 31039, 8080 opened in firewall for communication between u2000 client and U2000 server. But still unable to open link https://<U2000-IP>/cau. We checked with firewall team and did troubleshooting together suspecting above mentioned port might not open or have some issue.
So we keep trying to open https://<U2000-IP>/cau link and firewall team monitored the requested service and port destined to <u2000-IP> and coming from my U2000 client IP. They observed above ports 31037, 31039, 8080 are open and working well but there is one more request coming from U2000 client IP for port 443 towards U2000 sever, which was not allowed in firewall.
Root Cause
Firewall team allowed port 443 in their firewall and we were able to open the link and do installation of U2000 client software from u2000 server
Solution Description
To install U2000 Client from U2000 server, port 31037, 31039, 8080, 443 should be open in Firewall.
