I am going to share a case that is unable to focus the IPC6125 camera with you.
Problem Description
We had a case in which we had 4 IPC6125-WDL cameras which showed anomalies when trying to focus the image.
For these cameras, we were using the lens type TT02812D.IR-SD(3MP).
Handling process
Checked if the issue comes from the software or the setting of the camera. However, although the camera was properly set up, it was still not being able to focus.
Replaced the camera's lens with a different one from a camera where everything was working correctly. The issue no longer persisted.
Checked if the camera was using the C-mount adapter along with the lens. It was confirmed that it was.
Verified the lens type by the BOM (48010111) code - and it was confirmed that the lens was an auto Iris manual focus lens,1/2.7"-2 MegaPixel-F1.4-DC Iris, 2.8-12mm, CS-Mount, China brand D.
The C-mount adapter is used only in cases when a C-mount lens needs to be used.
Removed the adapter and retried to focus - everything was working as expected.
NOTE: before every installation, it is very important to check the installation manual to make sure we are installing only the required pieces. This way, we avoid this type of issue.
