Today, I’d like to share a case.
Problem description
1. When trying to create trail from U2000 client, the client hangs and there is no response from the server.
2. Any operation done from U2000 client, U2000 server is not responding.
Time out on any operation done from U2000 client
Handling process
Lack of routine maintenance for Veritas 1+1 Hotstandby server, with U2000 caused the log size to increase rapidly, this lead to 100% usage of /opt partition on both Primary and Secondary servers.
when df -h is executed on both Primary and Secondary servers, it shows
/opt 100%
on both Primary and Secondary servers.
Root cause
N/A
Solution
Save all the old logs from the below mentioned directories and Delete them from both Primary and Secondary servers.
. ./opt/HWENGR/logs/logsServer/bundlelog:
u2kBackupRestore.log.<Number>
u2kDeployment.log.<Number>
2. ./opt/HWENGR/logs/logsServer/bundlelog/bundlelog:
SacAccess.log.<Number>
3. ./opt/HWENGR/logs/logsClient/bundlelog/bundlelog:
BusinessStorageClient.log.<Number>
