This post describes the issue of being unable to create a multiparty conference with TE50. Please see more below.
【Problem description】
When the customer tries to create a multiparty conference, it fails and they get an error message 'The call failed to be set up, contact the administrator for assistance'.
【Problem analysis】
1. We confirmed whether the TE50 had a built-in MCU license or not and we found that it had the license and it was working fine.
2. Then we checked the conference configurations and found it was not configured right.
【Root cause】
Wrong conference configurations.
【Solution description】
From the TE50 Web page:
1. Choose System settings > Conference > Normal , Then set Multipoint call Mode to Built-in MCU.
2. After the customer did the above configurations, the conference was scheduled successfully.
