Hello,

We are trying to configure NE40E X8 as BRAS. While creating default IP pool we are not able to configure the gateway, the following error comes

=================================================================

[BRAS-ip-pool-default]Gateway 10.0.0.1 255.0.0.0

 Error: The subnet of the pool cannot be overlapped with that of interface.

=================================================================

We have also tried configuring unnumbered interface, however, on that we get error " Please configure the gateway"

Version is:

Huawei Versatile Routing Platform Software

VRP (R) software, Version 8.191 (NE40E V800R012C00SPC300)

Please advise

gateway 172.16.0.1 255.255.0.0
section 1 172.16.0.1 172.16.255.255
This one..
However, if I change it to 10.10.0.1 255.255.0.0
it gives the same error.
We are migrating from Mikrotik to Huawei and in Mikrotik 172.16.0.0 series is already assigned to IPPoE customers.
can the same pool be used to IPPoE as well.
