UltraPath application in dual-link direct connection environment
Dual-link direct connection is the simplest and most economical connection method for storage networks, as shown in the figure.
- The application server is connected to different controllers of the storage system to implement redundant connections. In this networking, the path connecting the application server to the LUN home controller is the optimal path; the path connecting to the non-home controller is the alternate path.
- Under normal circumstances, UltraPath selects the optimal path for data transmission. When the optimal path fails, UltraPath selects an alternate path for data transmission. After the optimal path is restored, UltraPath will switch back to the optimal path for data transmission.
