Hi,

As shown in the figure, area 1 and area 2 are common areas. A route is imported to OSPF on R1. In this case, which areas have Type-4 LSAs? And how many Type 4 LSAs are the R7 received? Thank you.

Hi Sprout,
Both R2 and R3 generate a type-4 LSA to describe the location of R1. Therefore, both area 0 and area 1 have type-4 LSAs. R7 contains two type-4 LSAs.
