Hello everyone!
This post will share with you a case of two 1800II fail to be connected through the SCC board.
Problem Description:
As shown in the following figure, the monitoring signals of the F1SCC at the A and B sites are connected to the SI&SO port on the F1FIU. The optical supervisory ECC is unavailable. The RM1 ports on the A and B sites SCC respectively report the R_LOS alarm.

Alarm:
R_LOS
Troubleshooting process:
The possible causes are as follows:
1. The optical module of the site A and site B F1SCC or F1FIU board is faulty.
2. The optical module of the site A and site B optical module transmits optical signals.
3. The insertion loss of site A and site B fiber is incorrect.
4. The wavelength of the optical module of the F1FIU monitoring signal on the F1SCC does not match.
Troubleshooting process:
1. Check whether the fiber jumper connections at site A and site B are normal.
2. Directly connect the optical supervisory channels of site A and site B. The A can monitor the B through optical monitoring, indicating that the hardware of site A and site B is normal.

3. In the installation and commissioning phase, the onsite test shows that the loss of the optical supervisory signal through the F1FIU is very large, which is close to 50 dB.
4. After the monitoring optical module is removed and inserted onsite, the wavelength information is 1511nm (item: 34060418). The wavelength of the SI/SO of the F1FIU is fixed at 1310nm. Therefore, the peer SO does not have optical output. Therefore, it is normal to report the RLOS to RM1.
5. Replace the monitoring optical module of the SCC board at site A and site B with 1310nm. The optical monitoring is normal.
Root Cause:
The wavelength of the optical module of the F1FIU monitoring signal on the F1SCC does not match. As a result, optical monitoring is abnormal.
Solution:
Replace the monitoring optical module of the SCC board at site A and site B with 1310nm.
Suggestion:
During the installation and commissioning, you need to check the wavelength information of the optical module to avoid troubleshooting.
That's all, welcome everyone to leave a message to discuss!
Thank you!
